Why We Built This Site
Missouri gives the public broad access to many court records, but access depends on the record type and the rules that govern it. Dent County does not use a district-court model; local criminal, civil, family, probate, traffic, associate, and many docket records route through the Circuit Court or through municipal court when the matter is a city ordinance case. The Circuit Clerk handles court filings, docket questions, certified court copies, and older or non-digitized files. The Recorder of Deeds handles marriage licenses, while the Sheriff's Office handles jail, warrant, civil-process, and law-enforcement records. We pull together the contact details, search portals, fee notes, and request steps for those offices into one place.

Only the issuing court or government office can provide a certified copy with an official seal. We can point you to the right office, but the document has to come from them.
